Who can clear up the media chaos?

PRIIME TIIME TODAY (Parents Responsibly Involved In Media Excellence and Teens Involved In Media Excellence) was formed to promote excellence in media. Our goal is to train individuals to become educated critical thinkers about all facets of media, and learn the most effective ways to impact change.

Media literacy refers to the ability to question, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and create media messages. In essence, it is the application of critical thinking to both electronic and print media. Media literacy skills include: detecting bias, comparing and contrasting ideas, recognizing both fact and opinion, and "deconstructing" images. Students can be taught to be discerning and critical observers and responsibly involved citizens in our media-saturated culture.
